Gems of Albania: 5 day tours

Day 1:

• Morning: Arrive in Tirana’s airport, or pick up ar your hotel in Albania’s capital city.
• Visit Skanderbeg Square and the Et’hem Bey Mosque.
• Afternoon: Explore the National History Museum to learn about Albania’s rich history.
• Evening: Head to the Blloku neighborhood for a vibrant nightlife experience.
• Accommodation in Tirana.

Day 2:

• Morning: Drive to Berat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
• Explore Berat Castle and the Onufri National Iconographic Museum.
• Afternoon: Visit the Ethnographic Museum to see traditional Albanian houses.
• On the way back stop in Belsh, enjoy the beautiful lakefront and enjoy a coffee in one of the many cafes.
• Evening: Head back to Tirana.
• Accommodation in Tirana.

Day 3:

• Morning: Travel to Shkodër, a city with rich history and nature.
• Explore Rozafa Castle with panoramic views of the surrounding area.
• Afternoon: Visit the Marubi National Museum of Photography.
• Evening: Enjoy the atmosphere of Shkodër’s Pedonale (pedestrian street) with cafes and restaurants.
• Afternoon: Drive to the picturesque coastal town of Krujë.
• Visit the museum of Albania National Hero “Skenderbeg” and the Old Bazaar for souvenirs.
• Accommodation in Tirana.

Day 4:

• Morning: Travel to Apollonia Archaelogical park, visit the city where once even Augustus, one of Rome’s Emperors, studied until he returned to Rome and became the new Caesar.
• Next destination is Vlora, the city of Independence. Visit the Independence Square, Museum of Independence and the beautiful promenade by the sea.
• Afternoon: return to Tirana.

Day 5:

• If there is time before departure to the airport, visit BunkArt1, largest underground military bunker built in Albania during Communist regime, and later take the Cable car to Dajti mountain to enjoy breath taking views of Tirana.
• Depart to Tirana International Airport.
